The NEH's Humanities magazine just published an excerpt from Becoming the Ex-Wife. I was fortunate to have an NEH Public Scholar Award to support the writing of my biography of Ursula Parrott, and I couldn't have done it without the time that fellowship gave me to dedicate to research and writing.
